This course introduces students to the ethical, regulatory, and safety standards that form the foundation of a professional hairstyling career. Through a blend of theory and guest speakers, students will explore workplace legislation, infection control, emergency response, and the importance of inclusive and ethical conduct in the salon environment. Emphasis is placed on real-world application of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), WHMIS, public health guidelines, professional ethics, and injury prevention through ergonomics and safe work practices.
