This foundational course introduces students to essential haircutting principles and techniques across a diverse range of hair textures and types. Through a blend of classroom theory and hands-on lab practice, students will learn zero elevation haircuts, basic clipper cuts, foundational barbering techniques, and an introduction to layered cutting. Emphasis is placed on developing technical skills and gaining confidence in cutting all hair types while working safely and professionally. This course lays the groundwork for advanced haircutting techniques in subsequent semesters.
